One Act of Grace Can Change Everything

Sunday Rewind is a 5-day Devotional based on the weekly sermon at Resonate Community Church

July 5th Sermon, Day 5

As we close out this week, here is a question worth sitting with. Who have you stopped praying for? Who have you quietly given up on? Maybe it is someone whose behavior has worn you down. Maybe it is a relationship that feels too far gone. But if you ever think someone is too angry, too far from God, or too set in their ways to change, remember Paul. He was a man who hunted down Christians and had them killed. And God transformed Him completely.

Nobody is too far gone when God is involved. You may never fully know what one act of grace can accomplish. One kind word spoken at the right moment. One prayer offered for someone who has hurt you. One patient response when you had every right to lash out. These things ripple outward in ways you cannot see or measure. Kindness creates curiosity. Grace creates conversations. Mercy builds bridges between people who seemed too far apart to ever connect.

This week, you have been reminded that you were loved before you deserved it, that grace is meant to be given away, that kindness wins people when arguments cannot, and that you have the strength to break cycles that have gone on far too long. Now go live it. Someone in your life is waiting to see Jesus through you, and they may not even know it yet.

Bible Verse

"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God." - Ephesians 2:8

Reflection Question

Who is one person in your life right now who needs to see Jesus through you, and what is one specific, practical thing you can do this week to show them unexpected grace?

Quote

"You may never know what one act of grace can accomplish. One kind word, one patient response, one sincere prayer."

Prayer

Father, thank You for the grace that found me when I was far from You. Give me eyes to see the people around me who need that same grace, and give me the courage to offer it freely. Amen.
