God Comes To You
Sunday Rewind is a 5-day Devotional based on the weekly sermon at Resonate Community Church
May 10th Sermon, Day 5
Here's the most beautiful difference between the tabernacle and Jesus: the tabernacle stood in one place, but Jesus moves toward people. He didn't wait in a temple for visitors; He went to the seashore to call fishermen, to tax booths to invite outcasts, to wells to meet the rejected, and to homes to share meals with sinners.
This reveals something profound about God's heart - He's not waiting for you to find Him; He's actively pursuing you. Right now, wherever you are reading this, God is present with you. Your kitchen table can become a sanctuary when you pray. Your car can become a place of worship during your commute. Your workplace can become holy ground when you invite God into your day. You don't need to travel to a special building or perform religious rituals to encounter God. Through His Spirit living within you, every moment and every place becomes an opportunity for divine connection. The God of the universe has made His home in your heart, and that changes everything about how you can live each day.
Bible Verse
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." - John 1:1
Reflection Question
Where in your daily routine do you most need to remember that God is present and pursuing a relationship with you?
Quote
You can meet with personally God anywhere, anywhere you are, because Jesus is greater than the tabernacle.
Prayer
Lord, open my eyes to see Your presence in every moment of my day. Thank You for pursuing me and making every place sacred through Your Spirit.
