Dear Resonate family,
We were encouraged by the CDC’s recent announcement that fully vaccinated people can now go without wearing masks in most indoor and all outdoor environments. Along with the guidance from our governor, this marks a significant and positive shift since the beginning of this pandemic, for which we are all thankful!
As a result of this new guidance, we are making some adjustments at Resonate. Here are the key takeaways:
Masks should not be a point of contention for anyone. There remain legitimate reasons for wearing masks including not being able to be vaccinated, health reasons, or simply feeling safer by wearing them. You should feel welcome with or without a mask.
We will leave the chairs in the Auditorium spaced further apart like they are now. Like you, I look forward to a return of normalcy, but also want to remain prudent and respectful of others’ situations.
If we’re not careful, the new guidance could become just another point of contention for our church community. Let’s embrace unity and contend against division. Let’s be vigilant to guard our hearts and our speech as we accept each other—mask or no mask—just as Christ Jesus has accepted us.
This pandemic has claimed the lives of over half-a-million people in our country and millions more around the world. This past year has been one of the most painful on record. Families continue to mourn, and many are still dealing with financial difficulties and emotional trauma. In light of this, we are called to be gracious to each other in the bond of love.
Be gracious, and be patient, as we no doubt will be working through related issues in the weeks and months ahead.
Thankful for each of you,
Pastor Curtis

As a result of this new guidance, we are making some adjustments at Resonate. Here are the key takeaways:
- Beginning May 16, masks will be optional inside the building
- Chairs in the auditorium will remain spaced as they are now to honor social distancing
- As we continue to journey through these changes together, let’s focus first on our unity and be gracious to one another.
