Enough Grace For Today

Sunday Rewind is a 5-day Devotional based on the weekly sermon at Resonate Community Church

August 30th Sermon, Day 5

One of the heaviest things we carry is not what is happening right now. It is everything we are afraid might happen tomorrow. We rehearse worst-case scenarios, brace for problems that have not arrived yet, and exhaust ourselves trying to manage a future that is not ours to control. But Jesus is clear: today has enough to deal with on its own. You do not need to carry tomorrow's weight today. And the good news is, you do not have to.

His grace is not given in advance for every future scenario you can imagine. It is given fresh, every single day, for exactly what you are facing right now. You have enough strength with Him for today. And when tomorrow comes, His grace will meet you there too. Coming to Jesus is not a one-time event. It is a daily practice. Every morning is a new invitation to bring Him your burdens, to release your worries, and to walk through the day with Him rather than ahead of Him. You may not know what tomorrow holds. But you know who holds tomorrow. And that is more than enough to take the next step. Start today. Not with a perfect plan, but with a simple, honest prayer. He is already there, ready to walk with you through whatever this day brings.

Bible Verse

"Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." - Matthew 6:34

Reflection Question

What specific worry about the future is stealing your peace today, and what would it look like to trust Jesus with it one day at a time?

Quote

"Nothing is going to happen to you today that you and Jesus together can't handle."

Prayer

Lord, help me to stop living in tomorrow and start trusting You with today. Thank You that Your grace is always enough for what is right in front of me. Amen.
