Ordinary Moments, Extraordinary Impact

Sunday Rewind is a 5-day Devotional based on the weekly sermon at Resonate Community Church

June 7th Sermon, Day 3

Sharing your faith doesn't require a pulpit, a perfect presentation, or a theology degree. It happens in the ordinary moments of life - over coffee with a friend, through a text message offering to pray for someone, or simply by inviting someone to church. These simple acts might seem insignificant, but they carry the power of the Holy Spirit.

The Spirit empowers ordinary believers to make extraordinary impacts through everyday conversations and small acts of kindness. Think about the people who influenced your faith journey. Chances are, it wasn't through grand gestures but through consistent, loving relationships and simple invitations. A listening ear, a word of encouragement, or sharing how God has worked in your life can plant seeds that grow for eternity. You don't need to have all the answers or deliver a perfect gospel presentation. You just need to be authentic about your relationship with Jesus and allow the Holy Spirit to work through your genuine care for others.

Bible Verse

'After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.' - Acts 4:31

Reflection Question

What ordinary moments in your daily routine could become opportunities to share God's love with others?

Quote

You know what sharing about Jesus Christ looks like? Looks like a conversation over coffee with a friend, or a text message offering to pray for somebody.

Prayer

God, open my eyes to see the ordinary moments as opportunities. Help me be authentic and loving in my daily interactions.
