Let Your Faith Leave The Screen

Sunday Rewind is a 5-day Devotional based on the weekly sermon at Resonate Community Church

October 4th Sermon, Day 5

You have made it to day five, and here is the truth worth sitting with. The most powerful witness you will ever be will not be something you post. It will be something you do. All week, we have been building toward this moment. Faith moves. Presence matters. Jesus closed the gap. And you might be the one God is calling to step in. Now it is time to put it all together and actually do something.

Your hands were made for more than scrolling. They can cook, carry, build, clean, give, write, and hold. They can serve in ways that no algorithm can replicate and no notification can replace. The people in your life are not pixels. They are real, they are hurting, and they need real love from real people. So here is your challenge, simple and clear. Think of one person. Identify one need. Take one action. Do not let praying for someone be the end of it. Pray, and then move. Let your faith leave the screen and land somewhere it can actually be felt. God has been preparing you for this kind of love your whole life. You already know who comes to mind. You already know what they need. Now you just have to go. This is what it looks like to follow Jesus Christ. This is what love in action looks like. Go do it.

Bible Verse

"By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." - John 13:35

Reflection Question

If you had to name one person and one specific action you could take for them this week, what would that be, and what is the one thing holding you back from doing it today?

Quote

"The most powerful witness you'll ever be won't be something you post, it'll be something you do."

Prayer

Lord, I do not want a faith that only lives on a screen. Move me toward the people You have placed in my life, and let my actions reflect Your love in a way that words alone never could. Amen.
