You Are The Bridge

Technology can be a bridge. A text, a voice message, a video call can carry real care across real distance. There is genuine value in that, and we should not dismiss it. But a bridge is only useful if it leads somewhere. The goal was never the bridge itself. The goal is the relationship waiting on the other side.

In a world that is lonelier than ever, you have something remarkable to offer. Not a program or a platform, but your presence. The simple, powerful act of showing up and saying to someone, by your words and your actions, you belong. You are known here. You matter. That is what the church is called to be. Not a place where people watch from a safe distance, but a community where people are truly known. Not just liked. Not just subscribed to. Known. You do not have to be someone else to do this. You just have to be yourself, present and willing. God will use exactly who you are to reach exactly who needs it. So let the bridge lead somewhere. Reach out. Show up. Sit down with someone. The world is waiting for the kind of love that actually stays.

Who in your life might need you to move beyond a digital connection and actually show up in person, and what is one step you could take to make that happen?

Father, use me as a bridge to someone who feels unseen today. Give me the courage to show up, to stay, and to love the way You have loved me. Amen.
