Build Your Manna List

Sunday Rewind is a 5-day Devotional based on the weekly sermon at Resonate Community Church

November 1st Sermon, Day 4

Memory is a powerful thing, but it's also fragile. The Israelites had witnessed the Red Sea split in two. They had walked through on dry ground. And six weeks later, they had forgotten. Six weeks. We're not so different. When a new crisis hits, the old miracles can fade fast. The 2am worry sessions have a way of drowning out the moments when God came through in ways we couldn't explain. That's why it helps to write it down.

Think of it as a manna list: a running record of specific moments when God provided in unexpected or unexplainable ways. The job that came through at the last minute. The conversation that changed everything. The peace that showed up when it had no business being there. When fear starts doing its rewriting work, that list becomes an anchor. It reminds you that the God who showed up then is the same God who is present right now. His faithfulness doesn't expire. It's new every morning, just like the manna was. Start your list today. Even one entry is enough to begin. Because remembering what God has done is one of the most powerful weapons you have against fear.

Bible Verse

"Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." - Lamentations 3:23

Reflection Question

If you were to write down three specific moments when God provided for you in an unexpected way, what would make your list, and how does remembering those moments change how you see your current situation?

Quote

"Remember what God has already done. That's where the Israelites went wrong, wasn't it? They forgot about the Red Sea. In six weeks."

Prayer

Lord, forgive me for forgetting what You have already done. Help me to remember Your faithfulness and let those memories strengthen my trust in You today. Amen.
