Sunday Rewind is a 5-day Devotional based on the weekly sermon at Resonate Community Church
October 25th Sermon, Day 4
Most acts of service are not dramatic. They do not come with a spotlight or a standing ovation. They look like staying after to stack chairs, dropping off a meal without being asked, or sitting with someone who is eating alone. Those moments can feel small. Invisible, even. And if no one notices, it is easy to wonder if it even mattered.
Here is the encouragement you need to hear today. Even when nobody around you notices, God does. That is not a warning meant to make you feel watched. It is a reminder meant to set you free. You do not need anyone else’s applause to make your service meaningful. Your Father in heaven sees every quiet, faithful act of love. Jesus Himself lived this way. He washed feet. He touched lepers. He stopped for the one when the crowd was pulling Him toward the many. He was not performing for an audience. He was loving people because they were worth loving. You are invited to do the same. Not to make yourself look good, but to become someone who genuinely notices others and responds with compassion. That kind of life does not require a platform or a title. It just requires a willing heart and the courage to show up. Keep going, even when no one is watching. It matters more than you know.
Bible Verse
"For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." - Mark 10:45
Reflection Question
Think of a recent moment when you served someone quietly and received no recognition. How did it feel, and what does it reveal about your motivation for serving?
Quote
"Even when nobody notices, guess who does? Your Father in heaven."
Prayer
Lord, thank You for seeing every small and quiet act of love. Help me to serve faithfully even when no one notices, trusting that You see and that it is enough. Amen.
