June 7th Sermon, Day 4
Here's liberating news: you're not responsible for the results when you share your faith. Your job is faithfulness, not performance. The Holy Spirit empowers us to share and witness, but only God changes hearts.
This truth should remove the pressure we often feel to say everything perfectly or to see immediate transformation in others. You might stumble over your words, forget important points, or feel like you didn't explain things clearly. That's okay. God can use imperfect conversations and incomplete explanations. What matters is your obedience to share when the Spirit prompts you. A bold witness is also a humble witness - it can be quiet, gentle, and patient. It's characterized by love and kindness rather than force or pressure.
When we understand that we're simply planting seeds that God will grow in His timing, we can share with confidence and peace. We're called to be faithful messengers, trusting that God will do the heart-changing work that only He can do.
Bible Verse
'But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.' - Acts 1:8
Reflection Question
How does knowing that results aren't your responsibility change the way you approach sharing your faith?
Quote
When you share your faith in Jesus with others, the results aren't your responsibility. Isn't that good to know?
Prayer
Father, thank You that I'm called to faithfulness, not perfection. Help me trust You with the results as I obediently share Your love.
Ordinary Moments, Extraordinary Impact

June 7th Sermon, Day 3
Sharing your faith doesn't require a pulpit, a perfect presentation, or a theology degree. It happens in the ordinary moments of life - over coffee with a friend, through a text message offering to pray for someone, or simply by inviting someone to church. These simple acts might seem insignificant, but they carry the power of the Holy Spirit.
The Spirit empowers ordinary believers to make extraordinary impacts through everyday conversations and small acts of kindness. Think about the people who influenced your faith journey. Chances are, it wasn't through grand gestures but through consistent, loving relationships and simple invitations. A listening ear, a word of encouragement, or sharing how God has worked in your life can plant seeds that grow for eternity. You don't need to have all the answers or deliver a perfect gospel presentation. You just need to be authentic about your relationship with Jesus and allow the Holy Spirit to work through your genuine care for others.
Bible Verse
'After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.' - Acts 4:31
Reflection Question
What ordinary moments in your daily routine could become opportunities to share God's love with others?
Quote
You know what sharing about Jesus Christ looks like? Looks like a conversation over coffee with a friend, or a text message offering to pray for somebody.
Prayer
God, open my eyes to see the ordinary moments as opportunities. Help me be authentic and loving in my daily interactions.
Courage In The Difficulty

June 7th Sermon, Day 2
Fear is a natural human response, especially when we're stepping into uncomfortable territory like sharing our faith. But here's what we often misunderstand about courage: it's not the absence of fear. Courage is deciding that something else matters more than our fear.
When the early believers faced opposition and threats, they didn't pray for God to remove all difficulty. Instead, they prayed for boldness to speak God's word despite the challenges. This is a profound shift in perspective. We often wait for our fears to disappear before we act, but God calls us to act in spite of our fears. The butterflies in your stomach don't disqualify you from being used by God. In fact, they might be a sign that you're about to step into something significant.
Courageous Christians are people who depend on God even in uncomfortable situations. They recognize that their nervousness is normal, but they choose to trust in God's strength rather than their own confidence.
Bible Verse
'Now, Lord, consider their threats and enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness.' - Acts 4:29
Reflection Question
What fears are currently holding you back from sharing your faith, and how can you choose to act despite those fears this week?
Quote
Courage doesn't mean having no fear. It means deciding something else matters more.
Prayer
Lord, I don't ask You to remove my fears, but to give me boldness to act despite them. Help me trust in Your strength when I feel weak.
It’s Not About Personality

June 7th Sermon, Day 1
Many of us believe that sharing our faith is reserved for the naturally outgoing or eloquent. We think evangelism requires a specific personality type - the bold extrovert who can strike up conversations with strangers. But this couldn't be further from the truth. The early disciples weren't chosen for their communication skills or charismatic personalities. They were ordinary people - fishermen, tax collectors, everyday workers.
What made them extraordinary witnesses wasn't their natural abilities, but something far more powerful. The same Holy Spirit who transformed these ordinary believers is available to you today. Your personality doesn't disqualify you from being used by God. Whether you're naturally shy or outgoing, whether you stumble over words or speak eloquently, the Spirit can work through you. God doesn't need your perfection; He needs your willingness. The gospel has always moved forward through people who simply said yes to God, regardless of their natural temperament or abilities.
Bible Verse
'But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.' - Acts 1:8
Reflection Question
What aspects of your personality do you think disqualify you from sharing your faith, and how might God want to use those very traits for His glory?
Quote
Witnessing for Christ isn't about a personality type. It's about the empowering presence of the Holy Spirit.
Prayer
Holy Spirit, help me see that You don't need my perfection, just my willingness. Give me confidence that You can work through my unique personality to reach others.
A Preview of Heaven

May 31st Sermon, Day 5
The unity we see in Acts 2 wasn't just a nice historical moment—it was a preview of God's coming kingdom. In a world divided by politics, race, economics, and countless other barriers, the church has the incredible opportunity to show what God's kingdom looks like. When people see believers from different backgrounds loving each other sacrificially, they get a glimpse of heaven on earth.
This is why the church's unity matters so much. It's not just about making our own lives better or creating a comfortable community for ourselves. Our unity is a witness to the world that God's love is real and transformative. When we live as the family God intended, people take notice. They see something they can't explain and want to be part of it. The same Spirit who created that supernatural community in Acts 2 is still at work today. He's still uniting people who shouldn't naturally belong together. He's still transforming hearts and building His church. Your participation in this unity isn't optional—it's part of your calling as a follower of Jesus. You were never meant to live the Christian life alone.
Bible Verse
'And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.' - Acts 2:47
Reflection Question
How can your church community better serve as a preview of God's kingdom to your neighborhood and city?
Quote
In a divided world, man, we live in a divided world. The church should shine as a preview of God's kingdom here and now, but also God's coming kingdom.
Prayer
Lord, use our unity as a witness to Your love and power. Help us to be a preview of Your kingdom that draws others to You.
